That's right....we have them available in just about every model and size you could possibly need. Whether it's the Michelin Defender, Michelin Premier, Michelin Primacy...or if you have a truck the Michelin LTX.
Now, all tires have siping but on some tires the siping only penetrates halfway through the tread block. This means that on a 50k mile tire, you start to lose your traction at 25k miles...way before your tire is officially worn out. What good is a tire if it doesn't have winter traction? Exactly.
Michelin's on the other hand, have full depth siping which allows them to have full traction for the entire life of the tire. Now, you can have the same performance in year 5 as you had when you first bought the tires. That means shorter stopping distances in traffic jams, better winter traction when it snows, better traction when you are starting from a stoplight or stop sign, plus better control when you steer around a corner or pull into a parking place. And all of this adds up to a much safer experience. Ever stopped quickly, only to find that you were within 6 inches of hitting the car in front of you? Well, better tires would have prevented that...worse tires would have caused an accident. Ever tried to accelerate when the light turns green only to have your wheels spin in the slush? Once again, siping helps to prevent that. If this is starting to make sense to you then it might be time to evaluate whether your tires are performing the way you need them to. For me, Michelin tires are the best bang for the buck out there. They offer full siping, 70-80k mile treadwear warranty and some of the quietest and nicest riding tires out there. Per mile of siping that you get, Michelins are cheaper than any other tire out there. You might pay a little more, but you get a lot more. If you have questions or want someone to take a look at your tires...just give us a buzz at Motolux and someone will be sure to take care of you. - Joe Comments are closed.
