This customer came in complaining of a clunking sound when accelerating hard. I found that some of the bolts between the motor mount and the engine were sheered off. This is rather common in BMWs. The whole engine was shifting when he accelerated hard.
Many of the bolts in BMWs are made from aluminum and need to be torqued to a very specific torque which allows the bolt to stretch and clamp 2 parts together. If you tighten the aluminum bolts too much they can stretch too far and won't clamp, or they can break prematurely. I had to very carefully work each broken bolt out to avoid having to drill them out. Luckily, I got all the bolts out without having to drill anything and was able to install and torque the new bolts without any trouble. No more clunk. Need a battery for your BMW? We install genuine BMW batteries. Careful with having the local parts store install a battery. Many BMWs need to have a scan tool reset the computer so it doesn't overcharge the new battery. If the computer isn't reset it can result in a shortened battery life or even a fire if the battery is overcharged too much.
I have a scan tool than can reset the computer. The next time you hop in your car and think about the cutting edge technology behind that digital screen...remember...the Corvette has had that since 1983. ![]() We don't ask for reviews. We don't offer discounts or incentives if you leave a review. We don't send follow up emails asking for reviews either.
So why do we have 5 stars? And why did these people take the time out of their busy days to review us well after they left our store? I don't know the answer. What I do know, is that every time someone walks through our front door, we're working to make sure that if they are one of those people who leaves reviews, that they can only leave a 5 star review. How do we do that? Well, it's not the hazelnut coffee. So basically we deliver friendly, compassionate, brutally honest service and premium quality parts and repairs. That's it. That's our review generating strategy. But, isn't that the way it's supposed to be? Vossen 20x12 rims with 295/30r20 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. We have a touch less tire machine and road force balancer that can handle all sorts of low profile tire and rim combinations. If you have expensive forged rims and don’t want scratches, we can handle them.
We consistently deliver high end forged rims to our customers without scratches or scuffs. The combination of our exceptional equipment and expertise allows us to do things other shops just can't. Car leaking oil? Sometimes the worst leaks don't show up on the driveway. This car was leaking to the inside and it filled up the spark plug well with oil. There were no drips on the driveway at all. Luckily the ignition coils weren't wrecked, but we did change the spark plugs and replace the valve cover gasket along with spark plug seals.
BMW spark plug job. This one had oil in the spark plug well, very common on BMW 328i and BMW X3. The oil leaked in from the valve cover gasket. Time for a new BMW gasket!
Just installed a steering rack and pinion in a Honda Accord. This job is a bugger, you have to drop the engine cradle and remove the exhaust to get it out. But, we got it done. Car works good as new and the steering is smooth as glass again.
We had a full day doing Bosch brake pads, a transmission filter w/ VW transmission fluid and OE spark plugs on a Volkswagen Jetta. The Bimmers were in for Continental Extreme Contact tires and a 5w30 Liqui Moly oil change with a Mann oil filter and a Mann air filter. Nothing but the best for this trio!
