Why? Well, when you see as many oil filters as we do, you start to have an appreciation for the better quality filters. They don't collapse, and they have more filter material in them so they last longer. It's a cheap way to protect your engine. We've found over the years that dirty oil leads to all sorts of problems, especially in the modern engine with higher tolerances. Quality oil filters help keep the oil cleaner, longer which prevents a lot of potential problems like plugged solenoids, low oil pressure etc...
Recently, VW came out with a new oil spec called VW 508/509. This new spec is required in most of the new 2020 models and will be the oil they use going forward. Sometimes when automakers come out with a new spec it takes shops awhile to catch up. I already have 0w-20 VW 508/509 on the shelf along with the correct Mann oil filter. If you need this spec for your next Volkswagen oil change we can take care of you.
So fun to see cars from when I was a kid. This Mercedes E55 AMG was in for an oil change today. I threw a Mann filter in it along with full synthetic Mobil1 motor oil. Only the best.
The next time you hop in your car and think about the cutting edge technology behind that digital screen...remember...the Corvette has had that since 1983. ![]() Just shipped another set of wheels and tires across the country. An often overlooked and unadvertised part of our business is wheels, which has been growing over the past few months. We have access to all the big brands like Fuel, Asanti, XD, Moto Metal, ADV.1, Niche, Rotiform and more.
We also have a Hunter Road Force balancer and Corghi Artiglio Master 26 touchless tire machine, which means we can put together extremely low profile tires without any scratches. This BMW was in for a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Notice the car is wrapped in gloss yellow on the right and matte yellow on the left. Very nice looking wrap on a small BMW 1 series.
Stopped by the Intermarque car show in Osseo 2 weeks ago. My boys were pumped! Their favorite cars were this red Ferrari Testarossa and the blue VW Beetle in the background.
